Albergue de peregrinos de Azinhaga - Comentarios

Like one of the earlier comments, the night I spent in Azinhaga was one of the more pleasant on the stretch between Lisbon and Porto. Azinhaga is a good place to break the long stage after Santarém. João and Diane welcomed me into their home. Dinner was with the family and Diane prepared a lovely oven-baked cod dish. The bed was comfortable although the room is a little small for the four beds. The bathroom was spotless. Breakfast the next morning was coffee with bread and jam.

The night I spent in Azinhaga was one of the most pleasant on the stretch between Lisbon and Porto.João welcomed me into his home like one might an old friend or beloved family member. Dinner with the family was great, the accommodations comfortable, and breakfast the next morning got me off to a great start. I hope his dream of expanding the albergues capacity bears fruit as this fellow is a great host!
