Albergue Monte do Gozo - Comentarios

I do NOT share the opinion of my pre-writers and I doubt they have stayed at the private section of Albergue Monte do Gozo at all! This place is one of the best on the Camino. I've been here now the 6th time. This year, I purposely traversed from Via de la Plata to Monte Gozo only to stay here and enjoy all the service and most of all, the superb support, the team is giving pilgrims here. And for the small surplus in the rate - €15 during Holy Week vs €10 in municipal hostel - you literally enjoy hotel service. Reception is open 24/7. The room is 4-bed-room (!) rather than overcrowded 10+ beds. Each room has its own private bath. Nice, hot shower. Room is cleaned every other day. They distribute the guests fairly. So, if the facility is not fully booked you may be lucky to have only one person or even no one else sleeping in your room. If you book room with breakfast, you receive a special rate. The breakfast is served from buffet and it is extraordinary choice for its price. Selection of fruit, toast, bread, marmalade, honey, nuts cream, pastries, cheese, sausage, ham, juice, all sort of coffee, and no one leaves hungry. I highly recommend and as said at the beginning, I don't think that the comments before mine have anything to do with the Albergue Monte do Gozo. Come in and experience yourselves. NB: if you just pass by, you still can enjoy the breakfast buffet.
