Gîte d'étape Beilari - Comentarios

What an amazing fellow Joseph is. The way he treats pilgrims new and old is quite remarkable. He and his staff are so welcoming and puts everyone at ease with his own particular unique way. Just what you need at the very start of your journey to Santiago.

This is a well run and organised gite with cheerful volunteers helping out. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are too. There is no kitchen to use and the deal is only for demi-pension. I found it was aimed at people starting on the Camino Frances rather than those finishing their camino or on the GR10. Joseph was away when I stayed unfortunately. There was a focus on games before dinner and discussing the meaning of camino. I was exhausted and the games and preachy discussion (no, you can't comment like that, I told you to comment in this way) didn't fit with how I felt finishing. There were actually only a couple of people starting on the CF, 2 of us were finished, 2 were on the GR10 and others had arrived from the Via Podiensis. I'd walked 28km that day and hadn't had lunch and while dinner was at 7:30pm, with the games and discussion, we didn't start eating until nearly 8:30pm. Dinner was finished around 9pm, leaving 1 hour before the doors were locked and then the lights turned out and silence. If you're staying here at the beginning of your Camino Frances, then it'd be perfect. I wish I'd jumped on a train to Bayonne instead.

Jos è stato veramente ospitale e grazie alla sua attenzione per gli ospiti ha creato una relazione tra le persone che hanno condiviso con noi la cena comunitaria che ci sta accompagnando lungo il cammino. Alberghe pulito e cena e colazione più che soddisfacenti.

Es perfecta para comenzar esa gran subida con la hospitalidad de José y Flor que además de cocinar de maravillas es una gran traductora.. Muchas gracias!

Uno de los mejores albergues en los que he estado en todo el camino. Son muy atentos, ofrecen un ambiente muy familiar. La cena está muy rica y animan conversaciones muy bonitas como inicio del camino. Sin duda fue una de mis elecciones más acertadas.

Fue mi primer dia en el camino y no pude empezar mejor, Joseph fue un anfitrion inmejorable asi como la cena comunitaria fue muy entrañable. Si algún dia vuelvo seguro que eligiré el mismo alberge. Gracias!!!!

Excellent host, great food and accommodation

El albergue està bien.La cena,vegetariana muy buena.Un poco caro para lo que es,pero recomendable.
