Chambre d'hôtes Villa Imaginaire - Comentarios

Oh my gosh but this place is magnificent. From the first communication when booking to the warm greeting at the door to having a bag of plums from the garden thrust into my hand as I left, everything was perfection. After ascending the lovely old stairs adorned with books and a fashion dummy, I was shown into my room - that I didn't have to share! For 40 euros, I had a large room decorated with more books, old chairs and a special card addressed to pilgrims from the entire family plus some tea making facilities. I had a large bathroom attached and a balcony. I enjoyed the pool on a hot afternoon. We had pre-dinner drinks and nibbles then came the feast of dinner, prepared by Max, a chef. This is a real family affair with Max, his wife and mother all participating in making guests feel at home. The food was sublime and breakfast was another feast. This was my most favourite place on my entire camino. Maubourguet is nothing special but Villa Imaginaire sure is.
