You don’t drift into Grimaldo—you end up here because the road says so. And once you’re in, you realize there’s not much else. No grocery store, no backup plan. This is it. The albergue is small, worn, and honest about it. One bathroom, but the water comes in hot and steady, which feels like a small victory. Beds are fine, nothing more. Sheets for a small fee if you want them. Kitchen barely qualifies—microwave, toaster, coffee maker. No stove, no fridge. You adapt, or you eat next door. And next door is where it all happens. Ángel and his family run the bar like it matters. Plates come out hot, simple, and earned. The room fills, voices rise, and for a while the town feels alive again. There’s a washing machine, lines outside, the basics of keeping yourself moving. But the night has its own plans. If there’s a rock show upstairs in the social hall, you’ll hear it whether you want to or not. Bring earplugs or make peace with it. It’s not pretty. But it holds. And out here, that’s enough.

Hemos dormido una noche. Estaba sucio y descuidado. Colchones amontonados. Muchas arañas en los techos y debajo de las literas. Le hacía falta un repaso de limpieza.

Bien si on n’est pas trop nombreux ( petites chambres) Propre. accueil sympathique au bar à côté

some strange negative comments on this page but this albergue is completely fine. it is a little squishy. I definitely wouldn't want to be here if it was full. but shower had hot water and good strength. blankets available. heating units in all rooms. there are not many power points at all. microwave only in kitchen. has washing machine. no issues or complaints.

Estuvimos el viernes pasado. Albergue pequeño pero acogedor, limpio y con todo lo necesario. Agradecer a Macu su acogida.

I say yes, because we were very happy that it opened it's doors again and had a bed. The place is very small and some rooms don't have windows. The bathroom is tiny with a leaking toilet reservoir (clean water) the kitchen only has a microwave. Shower was hot. Bar and terrace next door where you get your stamp and key.
