Albergue Rehoboth - Comentarios

I passed by and was following the albergue signs in the village. I asked spontaneously for a coffee and got a nice welcome as well as an invite in their house. The owner is an interesting guy with a CV as missionary in several countries. It’s true that he is confident about his believes in god and likes to talk about. He told me about his positive life changes and the reduces of the chaos in oneself due to the belief in god. For me it was inspiring and a true camino experience. If you are open minded you can learn. The albergue has a lovely garden and a table to sit in within the kitchen. The sleeping room is cozy and clean, as well as the bath room. You get an within family stay experience. The surrounding of the renovated house with a rustic warm design is quiet and within an abandoned village, a lot of beautiful nature is surrounding it. I can recommend.

It's a nice place, calm and only 4 places. Beautiful renovated old house. The conversation with the owner are very profound, interesting and inspiring. He's very available for pilgrims who want to talk. The problem is just, that they should stop the donativo conception, because they seem frustrated about it, which is understandable. It would be better and clearer for them and for people with minimal budget, and also for people who have enough money, that a price is announced officially. It's not really donativo, when they ask for 20 Euros but they don't put you out, if you can't pay as much. The kitchen is not available for cooking your own food, but you will have a good plate of a warm meal for dinner. Not really a breakfast either, but you can prepare yourself a coffee and eat some cookies, nothing more.

Un havre de paix et de confort (a l’anglaise ) dans ce donativo perdu au milieu de nulle part. Très bonne étape intermédiaire

Merece la pena dormir en este bonito, pequeño y moderno albergue, construido por sus propietarios, también peregrinos, que entienden lo que es el acogimiento al peregrino. Merece la pena también escuchar la historia de vida de sus propietarios y como se edificó. Y por supuesto merece la pena entrar en un albergue de los que ya quedan pocos, y que conservan todavía la esencia del donativo, con cena comunitaria y desayuno.
