Kerry Walmsley Throughout caminos there are many choices of places to stay. In this mass, there are few that really impact you. Albergue Ultreia is one of those. From the moment you are refreshed in the garden if you are passing by on your way to Laza (with thoughtful drinks, cake and a seat to rest in the shade) to (if you’re really fortunate) are able to stay here, it is more than ‘just a bed’. Love and care resonates through the welcome and the thoughtful touches through the home nourish more than weary feet! No one is persuaded to give financially, but our support enables this treasure to continue on. Marisol and Cristian - thank you! |

Karsten Spindler This albergue is a truly magical place, full of thoughtful details. The hospitalero is incredibly kind and has really thought of everything. The kitchen is fully stocked — there’s even a cupboard filled with food, plenty of spices, and cold drinks in the fridge. The albergue runs on a donativo basis. Outside, there’s a beautiful seating area that’s perfect for relaxing. For me, this is one of the highlights of the Camino. |

philrenard1 Fully equiped for cooking, the fridge and the cupboard are plenty of food for you to cook and eat. The woodstove is ready to be used with plenty of wood in the lower floor The toilet and the washbasin are also in the lower floor in the same closet. The shower is in the first floor with the 2 rooms (with 2 beds in each room). The overall place is a mess, not very convenient and not very clean. However it is an expérience, and when the stove is lit for the diner there is a certain atmosphere. If you are strict on cleanliness and tidiness don't go in that place. Otherwise, if you like all kind of camino experience then you could have a try!! |
