Gracias!

Hi Vicky,

We walked the Portuguese in 2020 from Lisbon. We had some great hostels/hotels. In Apriate the Albergue was closed, so we took an Uber to "Sleep in Bucelas" from there. The next morning the Uber took us back to Alpriate. We didn't want to go back to Lisbon, because it didn't feel like we were on a camino.
Some of the other places we slept;
Vila Franka de Xira: https://goo.gl/maps/MyTxKg7gahKuPyTD7 was okay. Nice owner gave us breakfast.
Azambuja: https://goo.gl/maps/MCHYL1aJ5f7vUdgt7 was great, but a private room. There was also a public albergue.
Quinta da Burra (Porto de Muge): https://goo.gl/maps/s7ivg491QgAXATfG8 was a refugee for pilgrims with a great garden and Paula a woman with a story...
Santarém Hostel: real pilgrim hostel
Casa da Tia Guida Golegã. https://goo.gl/maps/nMQbNZF69C9HrgeC6 Nice old victorian place, private and shared rooms
Thomar https://goo.gl/maps/PbHmQrJ54Pk5Anpj7 Typical pilgrim spot
Alvaiázere https://goo.gl/maps/tgHA8CGZUfCXrQXv6 Cheap spacious private rooms. Several pilgrims, communal diner (seperate room for pilgrims)
O Lagareiro: great typical pilgrim place with dorms and private rooms and restaurant https://goo.gl/maps/JZhe4iZUEiSAtfW36.
Condeixa-a-Nova: A bit overdone posh hotel with pool. But great anyway! https://goo.gl/maps/dvVQJUQ4NPUv8WWx7
Coimbra: brand new BnB in an old pharmacist. Great city, lots of options. https://goo.gl/maps/MqwxMZiaXqPFucoy5
Mealhada: very basic accomodation, but it did the job https://goo.gl/maps/fxm3UStkUHSEEJh16
Agueda. Great pilgrim hostel! With bar https://goo.gl/maps/wWP53KjFx6itu1Sw5
Albergaria-a-Nova typical pilgrim hostel with dorms and rooms and lots of animals https://goo.gl/maps/CkHWZNx4Q3rxYuSx8
São João da Madeira (last stop before Porto for us), nice clean private room. Nothing to do with the camino https://goo.gl/maps/6wfnGs3W8845ZUxW7

Have a great walk!
Paul
